Rest of the division seems to be heating up. Obviously there won't be this breakneck win rate all season but it's definitely tightened the race up and we need to start putting together some winning streaks.

Since St. Louis ended our 9 game winning streak, 28 games ago, we've had only one 3 game win streak. The rest have been one or two wins followed by losses.

In that time we are also 1-5-2 against our own division, being outscored 32-18 in regulation. Empty net goals may inflate that but we have to be a lot better against divisional opponents.

The biggest problem with the team IMO is they're too reliant on rush chances. Problem is that's been the problem for 6 years now. This front office either doesn't care or is incompetent so I doubt anything is going to change on that front.

I think i am just going to start having the mindset of this team collapsing out of the playoffs. It would make it easier to fathom if it does indeed happen.

2 points ahead of the Kings and Kraken. 7 points ahead of the Flames and Oilers.

You can't just keep on losing not only at home, but against divisional oppnents and expect to succeed.

Also, this win one lose one pattern is the definition of mediocrity.
