I thought the Heinen JFK Donato line played extremely well...especially Heinen. I have to admit I was down on these 3 however they have all been playing much better.

Weird that it’s suddenly the top 2 lines that need the work/re-organizing.

You can’t convince me that David Backes will be any sort of useful piece on a top 6 in the playoffs.

So, yeah, like many of us have been saying: We’re a good team; entertaining (usually); young; kinda speedy; but not yet at the level we need to be to compete for a Cup yet. People don’t wanna deal Krug for a legit 2nd line winger; wanna re-sign Chara. Ok, we can do that, but it’s not gonna get us where we need to go.

Jim Martin goals seem to be happening a lot this year.

On the positive side of things, I really like that third line and their play. Keep them together and shift the focus to be finding a 2nd line RW over a 3rd line center. 40 games this year will be enough for them to gel. Find a winger besides Backes to play in that top six.

Wow. Pretty ballsy remark by Jack on Halak with Cassidy.

    I give him credit.

Not this guy, I am so sick and tired of losing to the Caps. You would swear that over the last 5-6 years that the Bruins are bottom feeders with the way that they dominate us. Even when we outplay them we lose, nothing goes our way.

Team deserved better. They were simply out coached. Butch stands behind the bench like a house by the side of the road.

They bullied the Bruins all over the ice. Krug was absolutely over matched in his own end and frankly he was just as bad in the offensive zone as well.

    Team needs Charlie badly

@FanSince72 still think this is Miller's fault? Puck clearly shot under his stick, no deflection.

He played it how he should have. Halak gave up a mega softie.

If you can add a legit Top 6 wing, I wonder if the B’s could keep the Kid line intact and not have to add a 3rd line center.

Would like the B’s to get Saad, Toffoli, Silfverberg or similar. Set up the top 6 and then go with the Kid Line and three of 52, 55, 20, 14, 42.

See if that works before adding a 3C.

I think Bruce needs to let the fourth line be what it is: a really good fourth line.

Asking them to take on a workload like defending the Caps’ first line is doing a disservice to them/the team. They have to focus entirely on defense and don’t have the luxury of spending time in the offensive zone for fear of a quick breakout the other way.

Basically along the lines of “you don’t want to call anyone out, but it would have been nice to get a save there on that third goal, right?”
