I'm pretty neutral on the whole tank vs. make a push thing.

I think only the fans are thinking about it that way. Players and coaches are just preparing for the game.

I know that as soon as I get inside the arena I'll want to kill the Red Wings about 10-0 though.

It was a sellers trade sure but our chances of getting in are slim. But a few hundred seats away from a sellout tonight.

So, by trading Sullivan, Lombarda and Torres aren't the Coyotes basically giving up on the season? I don't see how I can be excited about our chances now. Someone please tell me this was good trades and we are fine?

Sullivan has been worthless, Lambo injured and inconsistent at best. Torres is the only real loss and even then it's about 12 minutes from a third liner who, while effective, just hasn't been the same as last year since the suspension. None of them were likely to signed after the season, and with all the pending UFA's we have, you can't just let all of them walk without getting something in return, especially when we have about 5% of even making the playoffs anyway.

They weren't good trades, just adequate, but we're fine!

It won't help our chances but I don't think it tremendously hurts our chances either.
