Jaroslav Halak tested positive for COVID-19, Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy revealed, and the goaltender will not play in Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Dan Vladar, who supplanted Halak as the Bruins’ backup amid Rask’s injury, will start. It was a scheduled start for Vladar, and the fourth of his career.

The Bruins, who are down their top two goalies during a run of five games in seven days, play Tuesday in Philadelphia. If Halak is not cleared by then, Jeremy Swayman could make his NHL debut as a starter. Swayman, a first-year pro out of the University of
Maine, was tabbed to back up Vladar on Monday.

Cassidy said Rask will travel on the upcoming trip, which continues in Washington on Thursday. The Bruins are in Philadelphia on Saturday, and host the Capitals on Sunday. It will be their fifth game in seven days. Rask will not play Tuesday, but the team hopes he can return later in the week.

Screw Cahtah Haht. Not sure how I feel about Kuhlman being in, but that could be a decent 4th line. Really interested in seeing how JDB=Coyle-Seny look. That line has the potential to do some real damage if two of three can get their heads out and the third can maintain anNHL level of performance. The future is in goal and backing up tonight. Don't want to see Swayman play tonight though

So Swayman will start tomorrow?

from today’s Globe:

If Halak is not cleared by then, Jeremy Swayman could make his NHL debut as a starter. Swayman, a first-year pro out of the University of Maine, was tabbed to back up Vladar on Monday.

Cannot take anything for granted. Flyers continue to underachieve, so the Bs need to take these next few from them. You never know what could happen going down the stretch in terms of team health, or NYR or Philly going on a win streak (They both have the talent to do so). Lots of games over the next week, including two with the Caps. The three vs Philly are pretty important. After the stretch with Philly and the Caps, the Bs have Buf, then 2 with NYI, then another with the Caps. Thankfully plenty of Buf games after that, but with injuries/COVID you just never know what will happen.

Continue the domination over teams from Pennsylvania, boys!!!

I like the looks of the forwards...on paper.

Top 6 had a solid day Saturday. 4th line has speed with some size.

JDB and Charles Coyle, time to do something.
