In today's presser Bednar talks about double shifting Mack and playing him on other lines. The answer was...unexpected. He's basically using Mack as a tool to boost other players' confidence.

"Even if it's just for a shift or two those other players get really excited about going out on the ice with him because they know he can make 'em better, be difference makers on that particular shift. "
(...)
"Even if it's just for a shift it can spark some guys, give 'em some energy..."

3 out of 4 points? Disappointment? C´mon. We didn´t play that well, ok, but good teams find ways to win such games or at least make it to OT.

You need to go watch the MacKinnon post-game interviews. Clearly they know they can play better, hopefully they show it tonight. These games against the bottom teams are important, great teams come out with the same intensity regardless of competition.

Decisive win tomorrow is what I want. Solid hockey for 60 minutes. The last two games we only looked great in spurts.

They should, but even the best can´t deliver this standard during all 82 games. The great teams are the ones who still manage to grab the win or at least 1 point. And that´s what we did this week so far. We all know this team can play much better, right. But i take 3 out of 4 points than complain about the "performance". We constantly have 3-4 injured players too and yet we still sit on top in the west.

5-1 Avs. Dongsky, Landy, MacK, Graves and Jost with goals. Yes I said Jost. He’s gonna have a solid audition tonight.

No reason why we shouldn't come out of this with a W. That said, boys cannot underestimate the Devils here. Just last night we saw what happened to the Jets. Come out and play a full 60 and we got this.

Good find. MacKinnon is simply amazing. He is just on another level from everyone else on the team.

Hoping he goes off tonight, and closes that gap even more on McDavid.

any words on EJ and Makar ?

Footnotes : Bednar said star rookie defenseman Cale Makar will miss his third consecutive game Friday when Colorado plays the New Jersey Devils to conclude a three-game homestand.

Makar (upper-body injury) skated on his own for the third consecutive day Thursday and is likely to return Monday or Wednesday

Trap game. Easy to underestimate the Devils right now. If we can avoid that we should win this ... with ease. If not ... well let's say it won't be fun to read this thread - like at all

This is so cool. NHL players like kids at xmas at the thought of playing with Mack.
