I'd feel a lot better right now if we weren't giving a team with Kane on it so much possession time in the last few min here. It's mostly outside but one **** up and that's all it will take.

Oesterle is usually the one defending Kane

OEL and Demers are seeing ghosts tonight, might be for the best

Why do we seem to have reverted to protecting the point?? We were dominating.
I wondered the same thing. The last 7 minutes or so of the 3rd, some combination of the Hawks finding another gear or us dropping down a gear (or two).

Over 40 shots? Turning a corner or just the Hawks usual bad defense?

It was a pretty wide open up and down game, Coyotes had possession for most of the first 15 min of the third that made the shots look way lopsided. We did have a lot of PPs.

Well Lehner has saved a couple goals and the Coyotes gave a few away

Can't really complain even if they score here

Good call, OEL would have gotten the clear without the slash

The differences in those two Power Play approaches was telling...the Hawks are making fast, crisp passes to moving players seeking out dangerous scoring opportunities or goal-front flurries from which to poke in garbage goals. Coyotes are just making crisp but generally lazy passes around the edges, creating one or two good chances but no real sustained pressure.
