Why is it most second back to backs start earlier than the first?

7:30 last night, 7pm tonight.

You would think it would be deliberately the other way if at all possible.

Bruins call up Anton Blidh from Providence
http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/b...-providence/5WTeWkmoinkqljctmHk9SP/story.html

In need of re-establishing some ol’ time Causeway Street assertiveness, the Bruins are back on TD Garden ice Thursday night to face the Anaheim Ducks, on the heels of Wednesday night’s 4-3 OT loss in Pittsburgh.

Blidh played four games with the varsity at the start of the month, picked up an assist, and was shipped back for a week when the Bruins gave Heinen another look, albeit brief.

No telling where, or if, Blidh fits into the mix for Thursday night’s game. One possible scenario would have Ryan Spooner moving into Tim Schaller’s spot on left wing with David Krejci and David Pastrnak, then Blidh slotting into Spooner’s spot on the Austin Czarnik-Jimmy Hayes combination.

The Boston Bruins and U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to benefit the Toys for Tots program prior to tonight's game as well as 12/18, and 12/20 home games at TD Garden. You can also donate $10, and for every toy or $10 donation made, you will recieve a raffle ticket for a chance to win autographed memorabilia. All monetary donations will be used to purchase additional toys for children less fortunate. U.S. Marine Corps Reserve representatives will be onsite during those games to collect donations or toys.

This is an interesting game, looking forward to it. Anaheim seems kinda unusual opponent, 'typical' heavy west coast team if that means anything.

No K.Miller is addition by substraction.

Let's go with this:

Chara-Carlo
Krug-C.Miller
Grizz/Morrow-McQuaid

I would also play Rask again. With Dobby, it's a sure loss...

Go B's!

If Kevan is out vs. Anaheim (and all indications are he is), they cannot, cannot, roll poor Gryz out there against the Ducks, who are among the leagues biggest and heaviest forward groups, and play like it.

Get Colin and Morrow back in their. Neither are small, and have a much better chance up against the likes of Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, Ritchie, etc.

Pretty pessimistic if Dobby is in net tonight. Hopefully he gets it going if he is.

I caught the Ducks' game Tuesday, in which they looked pretty good for two periods against Dallas. Then the wheels fell off and they surrendered five third period goals, losing 6-2.

I imagine they'll come out full of **** and vinegar, even more so than usual.

I wasn't happy then about it either. Would like to see both Blidh and Randell in.

I wouldn't mind that.

Randell had more goals (6) in 27 games last season than Belesky, Nash, Acciari, Hayes, Blidh, Kuraly, and Heinen have (4) combined in FOUR TIMES the man-games (114) this year.

But can't find his way into this lousy forward group. Even up against a group like Anaheim.

It makes all the sense in the world, expect to this coach and GM.

Is anyone going to be surprised if this game is the same as last year?
