The way some act, he's still selling it for the penalty.

All kidding aside, it doesn't help to lose Smith again for any period of time.

Maybe a 2nd round pick or later. It all depends on whether or not someone sees him as a long term answer.

Scouts were there last night discussing the possibility. With it being a rental I am not sure it would be a deal that blows people away.

4th period had it at a 1st and a prospect a week or so ago.

In this draft a 2nd rounder is the equivalent of a late first in most years. The market for goalies though is relatively non-existent with several big names hanging out there (most notably Luongo).

Smith has a decent contract though for cap hit purposes for this season. Anyone looking for insurance (provided we have decided that we can't make a run and I do think we are a 2 additional losses -in the next 3 games- away from being there myself)

Honestly, 2 games is about right. I thought Edler's hit was worse than Shaw's and Shaw got 3 playoff games, which was probably a little overkill.

I'm guessing he got two games only because of the injury. Tip was saying today that it's more of a whiplash type of injury and I'm not so sure Smith didn't do that to himself with the way he threw his head back after the collision.
