I couldve stopped at 99 or even 07 but I wanted to make the Habs look extra bad.

Last time each team made the playoffs was 8 years for Sabres and 2 years for Habs. If the Sabres are that much shittier than the shitty Habs, they are even worse than you thought which basically confirms that the Habs are substantially more successful than the Sabres.

I think the expectation for him when he was drafted was that he would turn the franchise around (fair or not), and that obviously didn't happen. So I understand why you'd be tempted to use that word

Yeah, it was definitely the wrong word to use. But we're on the same page. You've articulated it well here.

Still time for him to become the superstar he was projected to be though. For some guys it just takes a little longer.
