I think it was just a rusty game for him, he outplayed Nemo by miles in the preseason. Also Bednar said they wanted to see how he responded to the physical contact before getting back in a game.

He's dealing with a foot issue, but looks like he's gonna play through it. There were videos of him at morning skate and he looked fine.

I think this will be a tough test, Bob is a great goalie and they have several offensive weapons even if they're weak at C. But like McMetal said, it feels like we have a chance to win every night so we'll see how it goes.

This would explain a few things to me. He usually has a bit more jump to start the season.
