I've been openly critical of Backes. I do however think it's odd that you would think that having the Bruins win, with Backes scoring a goal would ruin a game for Bruins fans commenting on a Bruins forum. I think people want the Bruins to succeed with or with Backes.

That third line could possibly be the best in the nhl. Lots of potential. Kuraly on 4 th we can all breathe. That was so stupid. Backes now has a chance to prove that contract.

I also love these lines. Now with Cehlarik Frederick and others competing we have a real chance to exploit the depth in this organization for years. This was always Donny’s plan. I never expected it to come to fruition.

If Bruins don't take advantage of Ottawas first line something is wrong. Starting a rookie first game 19 year old Tkachuk. Hope local college boys Tkachuk and White have good games. Still think the Bruins will win.
