The Bruins host the Avalanche tonight in the 2nd of 2 games between these teams and the Avalanche’s lone visit of the season to TD Garden … The Bruins are 15-10-2 thus far this season with a 7-5-0 mark on home ice … They are 3-3-0 vs. Central Division opponents and are 4-4-0 vs. Western Conference teams this season.

They are concluding tonight their 5th of 14 sets of back-to-back games this season … They enter tonight’s game 2-2-1 in the 1st of those games and are 1-3-0 in the 2nd game thus far.

They are also playing their 6th & 7th of 16 sets of 3-games-in-4-nights this season … They are currently 3-3-1 in game 1s, 2-3-1 in game 2s and 3-2-0 in game 3s of those series so far.

I fully expect the Bruins to beat up the Avs tonight; they've lost 6 in a row and they're without two of their better players in Erik Johnson and Gabriel Landeskog.

For some reason the Tugnutt game has always stayed with me. The guy was just out of his mind good that night.

That game was something else, for the Bruins it was for all the wrong reasons, but Tugnutt simply stole the show. Seem to remember Borque having a ridiculous total number of shots on net that night.

Just read a Prosports update that says to expect the rookie Calvin Pickard to start. Oh oh, another rookie playing well in a back up role. No excuses when you face a team who is at the very back of the pack in goals for and against.

Light'em up.
Let's Go Bruins!

This should be an easy win. Have been to a couple Avs games this year, they're really hurting all over the ice.

That said Boston usually struggles with these kinds of games. Who really knows what kind of team we'll get tonight.

None of the wins seem easy. The B's can't afford to take any team lightly.
