Hoping the Bruins can get the "W", I will miss this one, will be at work. The B's need to start scoring more these close games against teams that seem to be weaker has got to change. I went back and checked out the scores of games in 2010-11 and we blew teams out of the water. Well going to bed in a few as I am fighting this nasty head cold :thumbd:..... I hate being sick :(

Tuukka Rask may get the call vs. lowly Flyers - The Boston Globe

Winners of five of their last six games, the Bruins practiced in Brighton Friday morning and then made their way to Philadelphia for Saturday’s 1 p.m. matinee vs. the Flyers.

Tuukka Rask, who registered his first win in three weeks with Thursday’s 3-2 triumph over the Lightning, will be in net Saturday for a third straight start, coach Bruce Cassidy said after practice.

The Finnish franchise netminder, now 4-8-2, hasn’t made three consecutive starts since the first week of November.
The Flyers, a dismal 1-5-4 in their last 10 games, have slid to the Eastern Conference basement in the last three weeks. As of Friday morning, they ranked 13th in the 16-team conference, with a record of 8-10-7.

There may be no easy games in the NHL, but with the Flyers easy pickin’s of late, it could be a chance to boost Rask’s confidence even more.

Philly has given up 5 goals in 4 of their last 6 games (allowed 3 and 4 in the other two games). I would love to see the Bs break out with a scoring bonanza and bury the Flyers. You have to go all the way back to Oct 19 to find a game in which the Bs beat a team by more than 2 goals.

10 matinee games seems a lot.

That does not include the games that start at 5 PM.

The Bruins like matinee games on weekends as it makes it easier for fans in New Hampshire and Maine to come in and get home at a decent hour. The Amtrak from Maine is packed before Bruins weekend games.

Makes sense.

Works well for European fans as well.

Flyers-Bruins preview: Can the Flyers end their nine-game losing streak?

The Flyers have lost nine in a row, although they have picked up five points, with one in a shootout loss and the other four in overtime defeats. During this streak, the Flyers have been outscored 14-2 after the second period.

The Flyers most recent game, Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to San Jose, has been the worst in this nine-game stretch. Trailing 3-1 entering the third period, the Flyers went the first 17 plus minutes without a shot.

After the game the players had a closed-door meeting.

Thanks for the kind words but I am getting ready for my first day back to work. I feel a little better but it seems to get worse at night and that when I take Nyquil and hit the hay. Go Bruins I will miss the game but am hoping they pull out the win. "Here we Go Bruins, Here we go"
