Does anybody know what the benefit of pulling your goalie is in terms of percentage of it being successful? Because in the 3 or 4 years I am watching hockey I have seen it pay off very rarely, more often than not the team pulling the goalie just ends up conceding. I know it makes no difference whether you loose by one or two so you can reason you may as well try it but surely the benefit of having an extra attacker is negated by having an open net? Or is there data that backs up pulling your goalie? Genuinely interested.

Love how the team is in pairs the problem is the third player on the lines:

Marchand Bergeron Pasta
Ritchie Krejci (Kase but not sure he's alive)
Smith Coyle (Debrusk isn't good)
Frederic Studnika (Senny but he is rotting)

Fill in the third player on each line with proper players and get the duck boats ready!

Much better effort today. Great job boys!

Nice bounceback game for Vaak, he was a shot blocking machine today.

Also really liked Zboril on the top pair. Very smooth breakouts when he and McAvoy were out there.

Just about fed up with DeBrusk on the other hand. Looked like he was just out for a skate again today, zero effort on the boards, not a thing to show on the off chance he did get the puck. Send down Kuhlman, call up Senyshyn and sit DeBrusk.

Simply night and day when the Bruins play engaged. Talk about a good first period, this has to continue!

Of course Marchand and Bergeron led the way with early physicality. Ritchie played as he needs to in these types of games.

Very impressed with the defense, aside from Carlo. Not only does he play small, he is making terrible plays with the puck in his own zone.

Good win overall. If Wednesday is against Washington that will be a true test against a physical, tough contender.

Pretty much liked everyone's game except JDB. Can't trade him fast enough. Vaak was better & had a ton of blocks. Coyle & Mac beast-mode. Stud & Freddy look great. Zboril slick with the puck. Cliffy heart of a lion. Good win!

Vaak blocked a lot of shots today, he will get stronger when he adds man weight. Stud looks very good in his natural spot, could have had 3 pts today, it will come. Frederic is much better concentrating on hockey and less time on yapping. Nice to see him playing with more talented guys.

Zboril is starting to play more physical as he adjusts to the speed of this level. I am sure they or he was holding back as to not get benched for being to physical and taking penalties. Let the kid play his game a bit please.
