Murray Craven (3-0-3) had his first NHL hat trick in a 7-5 home win against Detroit. It was the fifth time in team history a Flyers' player scored three goals in one period. The Flyers out-shot the Red Wings 51-24 including 42-17 through two periods and 23-11 in the second period when Detroit was out-scored 4-1. The Flyers extended the team's home unbeaten streak to 29 games in this series (23-0-6).

NBCSN is doing a rivals show based on the two teams coming up in a few minutes.

I watched the one they did with the Rangers and Penguins. It's a pretty good show.

I'm so sick of the overall arrogance and love of the Penguins and Crosby. Hope it's a close game and can only pray the Flyers end up on top!

We gotta play this team like we did 2 years ago..

The Rangers completely got under their skin when they played them last week. gotta do that.

Malkin hasn't scored since the last time the Pens played the Flyers (it was an empty netter, as well). Expect a hatty.

I think you should give ray the start. Seen too many times the hot goalie gets the first start and then the second in back to back games only to blow the second.

Flyers have been the sixth best team in the east in the last ten games (in record) and have picked up more points than the Pens in that time.

Ma$e is the number 1, let him get both wins tonight and Friday :)

I notice scum bag is back in the line up, our 3rd line should give he and Shrek fits. Little worried about them putting. Sids line vs Vinnys, but let's hope Brayden can get back under the little lady's skin.

Pens and Jets, two games I would love them to win.

Downie/Couts/Read needs to be on Malkin all night long. One Malkin gets frustrated when hit and Downie will do that relentlessly, plus Couts is doing a tremendous job this year limiting opposition chances.

Not sure if you try to line up Vinny or G's line with Crosby. This game maybe won or loss on the other lines.

After last night, I want G against Crosby. He has the fire and that line was very solid against the Senators and was really controlling play. If Giroux needed motivation, playing against Crosby is motivation enough.

Then the Flyers 2nd & 4th lines will be huge. Fortunately our 2nd line has a 7 goal scorer on it.

Hopefully Giroux's line plays against Crosby. Lecavalier's line is atrocious defensively and Crosby would have a field day.

In Pitts, they will get Sid out vs Vinny every chance they get. Ayden needs to rough him up a bit and try and get him rattled as that will be the biggest mismatch of the game !

we need G and hes linemates the control the play. Coots line to shut down malkin, and let Vinny do his thing on who ever the pens want to match up on him. I think 3 lines are playing pretty confidently and the 4th line is doing its job by eating some minutes and not screwing up.
