I mean everyone was awful in the Russian game...but he really hasn't done anything positive at any point so far in the games that I have watched from pre tournament to now.

Which is pretty normal for Canadian draft eligible forwards in this tournament. MacKinnon was the 13th forward on a bad team (suspect coaching but still) and was in the NHL 10 months later.
