Still quite a bit of tickets available in the lower bowl. Nobody paying $120-150 to watch this trash team lose in their home opener.

One thing I've noticed is that crowds never stand up for goals, or if they do it they do it a lot slower.

When we were good everyone would jump out of their seat.

I remember the days when the Canucks led the NHL in consecutive sell-outs. Now it's doubtful they'll even sell out the home opener. The bloom is definitely off the rose with this team and its management group.

It's game 1 of 82, so I'm not going to hate on Green for any Hutton/Pouliot decisions just yet. Let's see how the boys play in the first game of the season that counts.


Would be awesome if Pettersson could get his 1st career goal in his 1st game! Although I'm more rooting for Boeser to score and get some momentum back. He's not in any official goal drought just yet considering that was pre-season, so I'm not worried.

I don’t think the Rypien/Prust fight occurred in that game. That was the night they honoured Luc Bourdon, Burrows scored twice and performed the archer salute, Rypien scored a goal, and Steve Bernier scored and also got into a fight with Dion Phaneuf after the latter hit one of the Twins. Whole building was chanting “BER-NIER! BER-NIER!”. Might have been his best game as a Canuck (insert all downhill from there joke here)

Willie Green=Travis Desjardins.

It's taken awhile but slowly people are starting to realize that Green and his cohorts are a terrible coaching group. The Willie hate (which has endured for years now) blinded far too many here to Green's failings. I'm betting he doesn't last the year...
