That one team being really good and winning the cup doesn't reflect the strength of the conference? It's pretty obvious I'd think. Again, Ak Bars won conference finals 4-0.

Winning a series 4-0 does not mean the other team was garbage. Traktor does't have the depth, yes. They had to play 2 rookies in game 4, one of them played his first KHL game after the injuries in game 3. There is apparently only one team that can afford numerous injuries and it does so by breaking every rule. Basically just looking at the game of hockey on the ice Traktor was giving us more headaches than CSKA tactically. The result in the series doesn't reflect what was going on in single games. So 4-0 or 4-1, CSKA was just a poorly coached wooden hammer trying to break through our door, while Traktor was really puncturing it pretty well at times.

Everything changes too. Just because this one season was the one when some eastern powers were rebuilding of acting silly doesn't say much about the conference long term. And an eastern team won it all too even if you don't like it. It's in the books. Let's see what happens in the west next year. SKA is on the move, but in what direction? CSKA obviously needs changes.
