I have more of a problem with the personnel decision than anything. I know Cole is a good defensive defenseman, but with 2 minutes left in a tied game, we should be leaning heavily on our Top 4.

I think they sent Cole out with Brodin for exactly that reason.

I’d still prefer Dumba over Cole there 100% of the time. Slotting a guy in that has no experience playing with anyone in the Top 4 is just asking for trouble. Not to mention it’s practically showing that you’re content with turtling until OT.

Benching Dumba makes about as much sense as having Parise and Bjugstad on the 1st line. Or playing an AHL defenseman at wing in the NHL
