Congrats on your rookie goalie getting his first win! Hopefully this loss for the Devils cements their coach being fired into the sun. Would call him the worst coach in the NHL but Bill Peters still is employed

Yikes, losing to the Wild is now considered a crime against humanity or something?

Lol nah. It’s just this coach is terrible and should’ve been fired when the team started up 0-6 (it was 0-4-2) and has constantly been blowing leads and having other issue with actually showing up ready to play when they aren’t scoring first and blowing the lead.

I think it was a loss last week his response to what happened, like 3 goals in 14 seconds to open the third was it is what it is.

tonight another question about why the same issues are arising was that’s the riddle that can’t be answered.

Honestly had no idea you could challenge high sticks that weren't directly related to goals.
New rule this year, you can challenge missed stoppages.

Any situation that could result in a stoppage of play can be challenged.

Was due to a missed hand pass in the playoffs that resulted in a goal that shouldn't have counted.

Wow, if the Wild could have avoided giving up multiple late goals this could have been a 3 game road sweep, a 5 game winning streak, and they could have been 1 point out of the last Wild Card spot.

As it stands they are 3 points out of the Wild Card.

Do I have it right that if the Wild had cleared the zone(after the Simmonds high stick), then NJD re-entered scored(w/o a play stoppage) then you can't challenge?

No, because the challenge was for a missed stoppage, not a missed offside. The stoppage was missed either way.
