The proper (Finnish) way is hard to pronounce in english because the letters ä and ö doesn’t exist. But you can hear it after ca. 0:20 in this video.

If we can learn to say Gabberick for Gaborik instead of GaBOREick, we can learn KACK-ohnen

I mean come on, he's got Khaki for a nickname already! He doesn't wear breezers, he wears khakis!

It took me 15 entire seconds to come up with this title and now Finland has ruined it with their excessive number of vowels (which is still probably fewer than in English).

I refuse to let Finland ruin this. Don’t stop the party. Bud Light and Pitbull. Dalé.

Do they all only make one sound? Or is it like English where there are "5 vowels" *wink wink*?

Japanese is the only language I know of that gets this right.

Finnish Grammar - Vowels

Quoting -
Back vowels are a[a], o [o], and u , middle vowels are e [e] and i , and front vowels are ä [æ], ö [ø], and y [y]. The guideline for pronunciation follows the system of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).

not a linguist, or fan of grammar so you will have to read it up yourself

I don't have a big problem with Finnish vowel abuse. It's the consonants that need to be protected from that otherwise pleasant country.

Tonight pretty much makes or breaks his NHL career, I guess.

Best of luck, Kahki!
