Not true, players that came from over seas on a private charter didn't need to quarantine, yet players that came overseas on commercial jet did.

The NHL isn't playing in a bubble, this isn't like in Edmonton when teams had to create their own bubbles prior to entering the Edmonton bubble.

That was as the protocol was starting. No one was in the protocol at that point. The method of getting getting to your team had different rules.

Now, If you call someone up from your AHL team, and they are more than 5 hrs away they need to quarantine.

He can sign an NHL deal that starts next year, and an AHL deal that starts immediately so he can finish with Iowa in 2021.
