Nalimov's KHL contract has been terminated by mutual agreement.
How likely is that he comes over to the NHL? Chicago certainly doesn't have a lot of room for goalies with Forsberg, Delia, and Lankinen.

This summer I'd say it is unlikely, unless Hawks are suddenly trading Forsberg and offering backup's spot to Nalimov. Rumors are that he might sign in the KHL with Torpedo.

According to Scott Powers, Nalimov is ready to try himself in the NHL, but due to the Blackhawks goalie situation, he would like to have his rights traded to another NHL team.

They are all not really that good. Forsberg does have some upside, but he has had a few bad games.

He can have the backup spot if he wants. Lankinen and Delia can play in Rockford. All of the other backup goalies suck and can be traded for 7th round picks lol.

They didn't need to try him out for too long, a 1-year deal has been signed.
Yeap, perhaps a try-out rumor was just a mis-information .... anyway, he would sign even after one month try out :D Not so many free goalie spots in the KHL and waiting for Hawks??? :D

Well, he was out-played by Lazushin and they signed Brust for the starter role. Sucks to be Nalimov but he got outplayed fair and square.
Can you post their contract numbers since just looking at their elite prospect page it looks like Brust has been the worst goalie by far of all three while the gap between Nalimov and Lazushin seemed pretty small

Contract numbers aren't disclosed in the KHL but Brust is by far the highest-profile goalie of the three and one of the best in Europe as his career numbers would suggest. He just got signed and unsurprisingly is pretty rusty after prolonged summer break but he is obviously the frontrunner for the starter's job going forward.

And yes, the statistical disparity between Lazushin and Nalimov is rather small but when one goalie plays 4x times as many games it seems obvious whom the coaches prefer.

Sounds like he is signing with SKA St. Petersburg now, as they've traded for his rights.
Traded for rights to Prosvetov who was Sochi draft pick in '16 and thus should be their player even before the trade?

Is he going to play next season in North America?

No clue. Nothing has been said. But given the hawks uncertainty in net I don't think he'll be over.
Crawford Unrestricted probably coming back.
Subban restricted he will be let go
Delia, Lankinan and Tompkins all under contract. Plus Alex gravel needs to be signed unless they let his rights expire.
Not saying he couldn't beat out the 3 goalies behind Crawford. But not sure if he'll want to maybe head to Rockford if he can't.
I wouldn't mind a 1 year entry deal with him. Put a escape clause in there and go from that.
