2.16 GSAA for this particular game. Thats pretty good. It's odd how his worst SV% of the year is the game where he has by far his highest GSAA. Sometimes the advanced stats don't align with the more basic stats.

He lost only 14 games in 108 starts in KHL.
He lost only 5 games in 30 starts in NA (AHL + NHL combined).

Insane stats.

Rangers have been blessed with goaltending, going from Beezer, to Richter, to Lundqvist, and to (hopefully) Shestyorkin, with only minor stop-gaps, if at all, in between.

He'll play tomorrow, but maybe this means he'll finally start to get a run of games in a row. Georgiyev and Lundqvist have both been mediocre the last few months.

amazing run by the blue shirts for sure....Has this russian kid played an away game yet? Too lazy to look it up
4-1 record all at home. Tough loss against the jackets 2-1 giving up goal with less than a minute left.
More than likely gonna prevent the Rangers from getting bottom 5/6 pick lol

First it was Lundqvist and now it’s going to be Igor who drags us several spots higher in the standings than we deserve and curses us to picks outside the top 5 ;)

Stopped 41 of 42 shots and was the obvious first star. He’s now won 5 of 6 NHL games. His .933 SV% would lead the NHL, if he had enough games to qualify for the lead.

Now the big question, with only 28 games remaining for NYR this season, i would most likely assume Igor wont hit that 25 games played mark(6 games played so far), so is he already the favorite to become the 2020/21 Calder Trophy winner next year???

I think Lafreniere and Kaprizov are the favourites at the moment.

Ya Lafreniere, Kaprizov, Shesterkin the 3 favorites to be finalists possibly. Would be cool for a goalie to win it. Defenseman this season and a goalie next season!

Sorry, missed last u20 WJC2020, is Alexis good enough or this is just canadian expectations?
He’s definitely good enough. Not just skilled but also has the smarts, size and hockey sense that will allow him to transition seamlessly. He’s going to make an immediate impact.

Wherever I'm standing atm
I started reflecting on Hanks rookie year and then, inevitably, to the zero cups. I'd trade Igor and as many picks as it took if I knew itd guarantee a cup w hank at the helm. Pipe dream of course, so my consolation prize will hopefully be to watch Igor guide te nyr to a cup instead

Stopped 42 of 43 to beat the Jets. First goalie in NHL history to win 3 40 save games in his first 7 games.

Now 6-1. He might bring us to the playoffs.
Unfortunately probably too late especially in the metro division but will be rooting for Igor to win every single game for sure.

If we win our two games in hand, it’s only five points. And then five points with 25 games left is reasonable to make up. I agree, it’s unlikely, but if your goalie plays that well, a big winning streak isn’t out of the question.

If we were chasing one team even 7/8 points wouldn’t be crazy but most likely chasing multiple teams including the flyers and Carolina and you would think the latter has to make some moves before the TDL.
