Bergeron will finish his career and have the respect of the writers and voters in his pocket to support his admission. He'll have a lot of hardware (WJC, Stanley Cup, Olympic Gold x2,) and possibly more.

Yeah but he might have to depend on those awards alone to get in. Also Olympic gold medals for Canada is not a difficult task. If he was born in Finland would he have Olympic gold medals?

JBo is the interesting one... He's entering his prime... he plays a style where he could play at this level for another decade+... if he does that and takes another baby step where he routinely get top 5 or 3 Norris votes annually... he could be in. Massive games played, massive minutes, signature Ironman streak, the consistency!
Would be one of those controversial Longevity selections (opposed to elite status)... but may be one of the most deserving Longevity-type players you may be able to find.

I wouldn't surprised if he end up something like:
1600 games, 700 pts,
Most minutes played in the last 30 yrs of the game.
Maybe an Ironman streak 2nd only to Jarvis...
And in terms of team accomplishments... well that's up to the GM in coming yrs, not him.
