Grubauer has been trash lately, hopefully he is not headed for his annual meltdown. There is no reason he should start this game, give the man some rest.

He was fine against the Blues. Just had a couple of bad games in Minnesota but nothing to get overly concerned about. We'll get a backup in a couple of days which should help give Grubauer some rest down the stretch to be fresh for the playoffs.

2 bad games in a row, below .900 in the last 5. Point still stands, he needs rest and shouldn't start against the worst team in the division.

He's also had plenty of games above .900 that we didn't win.

He's been as good as he's needed to be except for one lousy game. Take out the last game and he's 4-0-0 with just under 0.900 sv%. The Anaheim game where he let in a late inconsequential goal and the first Minnesota game where the team as a whole let up a bit late in the game drag his sv% down, but fact is that he's given the team good enough goaltending when it has mattered in all of these games except for the last one.

Yeah i do , i'm not pro fighting but there's something that i hate more than fighting and it's top players on my team ( or any teams ) getting injured and run over because the other team is not scare of the retributions. I've been watching hockey since the early 80's and if one day i decide to stop watching for good it will be because of a cheapshot on a star player.

Looking at the cards, the first line must be the best bird-magnet of any team in NHL. Mac maybe a bit grumpy, but these two wingers with their looks and size. I don't know if any team can match that handsomeness. Would like to hear a female opinion on that.

I really do hope that they rest Grubauer. He looked very off last game. The focus was not there.

Oh boy...ugh...Yah that's not going to happen. The Avs probably lose this one aswell. Closer game probably OT. A new winless streak starts and then they finish the year off on a 10 game win streak or something.

If Grubauer starts I feel pretty good about them getting the W, even with the depleted defence. I have a hard time seeing Grubauer struggling mightily in three consecutive games.

I can see it because we have seen it before. If the Avs can figure out how to kill a penalty or better yet stay out the box that would do wonders for Grubauer.

This game is gonna be chippy after the last 2. Deslauriers is gonna do something dumb to Naz. Plus, with Burroughs, O'Brien, Getzlaf, and possibly Pateryn all in the lineup... just saying. Powder keg.
