there is a minimum OV rule in place, why have a salary floor? not looking to add like 10 million just for the sake of being above the salary floor...

ontop of that there is about 10 teams fighting off debt or are in debt and about half the league wold be putting forward negatives to comply with a 30M floor, that could be an indicator enough to click up the Revenue scale one tick. each team shold be able to afford 60$M (40 in salaries 20 in the bank give or take from those 2 totals depending on how much each team wants to spend)
also an idea maybe we could give the new GM's "signing bonuses" of about 10M if the team has less than 10M in the bank... i took over Phoenix last year, 3M in debt and with nothing i still had to move a few prospects/players in deals that included money just to get it back up to par, for an already destroyed team structure it set me back quite a bit from where i could be now, and i think it would really help new GM's

Ryan, you make a valid point here but if you were struggling financially than why did you make a waiver claim on players like Gerber and Theodore. I believe that a team can do well if they are dicipline enough and rebuild slowly without taking a giant step. I know every GM wants to improve their team but taking a salary of Federov and Naslund with $5M makes no sense at all to me.

Of note, defenceman Andy Wozniewski's RFA qualifying offer was rescinded due to an error in submission. He is now an Unrestricted Free Agent.

I missed this when I went through the updates... He'll be placed on the correct team with his new contract in the next set of updates.

Well it wasn't very quiet for your Blue Jackets! :)

Sad but true. As with any shopping therapy binge, the post-purchase feeling of doubt and regret is starting to seep in. The season can't get here fast enough, when hopefully the team's brilliant performance will help me forget how much it's going to cost me!

Worked well for us last year! Of course let's hope you're bet on Conroy works out as well as our bet on Guerin...

(although if you want me to be able to trade him without consequence, I'm ok with that!).

Hasnain, Mair's contract was for 2 years. I just looked at the excel file and noticed you have it correct on Florida's sheet, but incorrect on the UFA main sheet. :D
