I think we end up with a middle of the road signing or 2 and a couple Rochester moves. Someone in the Johansson, Brandon tanev mold.

MAYBE a risto move if some of the teams that lost on Myers go into panic mode

I think it’s probably best that he’s going elsewhere for that number.

I don't begrudge him that figure or the destination. He's 34 and at least for Dallas, it's only reported to be 3 years.

Anyone else expecting to be disappointed today?

I was open to Zuccarello on a two- or three-year big-money deal. I'm not interested in many of the other top guys given the term and $ they're likely to command.

Panik and Connolly going for as little as they did stings.

My expectation is maybe one middle 6 winger and that's about it. And it's probably going to be too long or too much cap wise, maybe a little of both.

Edit: Also, AHL depth.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that many will be very angry, probably starting at 12:01.

I would think the slogan for the team for this season should be "Disappointing and upsetting" but it doesn't really roll off the tongue.

For those who may have missed them:

And

No Curtis Lazar's mind you. :biglaugh:

And truth be told, Myers at $6M AAV is kind of palatable from where sit:

That is a pretty good deal, all things considered. I'm actually surprised it's not a bit higher given the lack of RHD on the market. If nothing else, Myers is good at being big and skating it out of the zone.

I too am surprised that it isn't a fundamentally silly contract. It seems to be decent in fact. Well done to Benning for not going a million or more higher.

Perry at $1.5M AAV for a year in Dallas isn't a bad "show me" signing.

I do worry that Turris is going to be the "big win" of the day for GMJB. *shudder*

That Luongo recapture penalty might've saved Benning from himself.
