Petry is the 1st target on my list. He's a great 2nd pairing dman and carries a huge workload for the worst team in the league. Does everything pretty well, and is probably the only oilers d who is responsible in his own end. Imagine what he could do with hartley coaching him. his age is good for us too.

If we expect to promote Wotherspoon next season I am unsure about how much room there is:

Gio-Brodie
Russell-Wideman
Wotherspoon-Smid
Engelland

I would still like an upgrade on Engelland but it likely won't happen.

Diaz is a better fit beside Wotherspoon than Smid IMO.

He hasn't played in a Canadian market since juniors. Why would he suddenly want to come back to play in Canada? The Isles have a bright future and he's a big part of them, I think he will stay there.
