What type of future does this guy have in the NHL?

I remember he was a pretty good prospect at one point, but only posted 6 goals and 23 points in 75 games last season.

Can he step it up soon? Can he be a 25-30 goal guy?

Thanks.

He really started coming into his own offensively towords the end of the season. Shane Doan and Steven Reinprecht had some very good chemistry between them, and once Freddy was put on their line he started creating alot of chances. His long term offensive potential is up in the air, though. Diffucult to put a number on it. We'll have a much, much clearer picture this time next year, IMO.

Apart from offense, it should be mentioned that he is a very good defensive player. His good strength and amazing speed should make him a valuable penalty killing asset down the road.

He's a two way guy in the mold of a Jere Lehtinen although his offensive upside seems to be limited to 20 goals. He has the skill set to play on the top two lines as a complimentary player who does the dirty work but by no means will ever be the go-to-guy on that line. Not a true top six player but will be a solid performer. Skating is his top asset but he needs to be much stronger on the puck.
