Hey guys just stopping buy to ask about a couple sharks prospects.

Im just wondering if anyone who's watched either play, could give me a scouting report on them. They both seem to be doing very well stats-wise considering their low draft position. Im just looking for some info on stuff like skating, shooting, stickhandling, hockey IQ, defensive play, etc...

Also, do you think either of their stats are benefitting from being on the team that they are on, or do you think they are well deserved? Do you think either have a chance at being top 6ers?

The more feedback the better!

Thanks in advance (-:

Really like Freddie Hamilton and frankly, he was a great pickup where San Jose was able to get him at. He's a big guy that really plays well on the boards. He's not overly physical or nasty, but he does a good job of positioning himself to win puck battles on the boards and creates a lot of space for his teammates. He drives the net hard and is pretty good at managing the front of the net on the PP. He's got pretty decent goal-scoring instincts as well. I think he definitely has a chance to be a player at the next level, pretty high hockey IQ with this kid.

Sgarbossa has really come on since being dealt to Sudbury. In the past he's been a little hit or miss but this year he's found a lot more consistency since being moved to Sudbury. He's got pretty high-end skills and is a pretty creative player as well. We'll see how his game translates to the next level, but he does have some "pesty" qualities to his game and can get under an opponent's skin, which will certainly help him along the way.

In short, these are two very nice pickups for a 5th rounder and an undrafted free agent. Along with Coyle, that's three nice prospects from this draft as it looks like a few of the other picks have been a little disappointing thus far from their 2010 crop.

Sgarbossa is quite the talent. I've played with the guy and he's got incredible skill and hockey IQ...

Just seems to let his head get the bette of him sometimes, which is where the consistency issues come from.

Thanks for the feedback

Didnt expect Hamilton to be a powerforward type. Considering he's only around 6'1

Went to Highschool with Freddie, you're going to love the kid. He will definitely do anything it takes too make it to the next level. Character guy, efficient in corners, good vision, etc.

Also, random fact:

Had a chance to go to Harvard on scholarship, but instead chose to continue in the OHL :P
