Breaks my heart that his career had to end the way it did. Was a huge fan.

Also he has pretty good taste. Too much house for me to ever use (though I bet hockey guys host a lot of parties so this isn't likely as huge as it seems) but not bad.

They eluded to him doing better in the mountains in Colorado in that heartbreaking piece about him joining PTSD patients out west. I think they said they planned on selling it when he finished treatment out there. I wish Franzen well, it is a really big shame how terrible the updates seem to be when we get them. But going back to Sweden has been a plan for a while, hopefully it helps him day to day and he progresses towards a better living situation.

$355k 8 years ago. Is Birmingham booming? I'd have assumed MI housing market would not be favorable.

All the best to The Mule and his family wherever they move.

Beautiful home.
I assume he bought the land, tore down an old property and built that house. I haven’t heard of a house appreciating 8x in 8 years before.

That's one cool finished basement. And neat to see his kid with a Larkin jersey.

All the best, JF!

As far as I know Birmingham is one of those affluent areas that continues to rise in value regardless of the economy (other than a recession happening which hasn't been the case since 08).

It's no Bloomfield Hills but it is still a nice area.

I saw that. But also wondered if somewhere along the way someone did a shit ton of remodeling.

That seems like crazy increase in home values during that stretch.

Good luck, Johan. 'I was a huge fan of his, and it's a real tragedy that his career ended the way it did.

What is with pic 47? The wine rack and really everything in that picture looks like a painting or fake, rather than an actual wine rack.

It was just for the property. The house was built in 2012 then sold for 2.4 million probably to Mule.
Yeah... that house is nowhere near $355K in Mt Pleasant, much less Birmingham, less than ten years ago.

Birmingham is small, and sought after, with good schools and lots of foreign money.

I don't think you could find a house for less than 800k, and the 800k houses you're probably buying to demolish and rebuild on the property.

I see Johan around pretty often, haven't talked to him though.
