Have no understanding of why Babcock doesn't play Zetterberg and Franzen together, one of my biggest gripes with Babcock.

Most likely it's because Filppula - Datsyuk - Abdelkader would have been a piss-poor line. Filppula and Datsyuk are both natural passers, with Filppula being so to a fault. Zetterberg and Franzen are both shooters.

From the start of this year, assuming Bert/Helm/Sammy are out, our lines this year should have been

Cleary Zetterberg Franzen
Flip Datsyuk Brunner
Nyquist Anderson Tatar
Miller Abdelkader Tootoo
Eaves/Emmerton

People would have complained that Flip/Datsyuk/Brunner was too soft, but who cares. Last year, Flip-Z-Hudler were pretty damn good in the second half.
So you go with those lines and you adjust as you go.

Yeah Franzen is usually better with Zetterberg. Franzen seem to have a tough time to read Datsyuk.

It's said in pretty much every teammate interview about the guy. With Pav, you go find the open ice and get ready, because it's coming. And don't shout for the puck or bang your stick, he'll find you.
