I think the 97-98 team was a more impressive year simply because winning had become so much harder, but it's certainly hard to discount 8-0 in the playoffs without surrendering a goal on home ice. That's definitely one of the most dominant performances in any sport by any team ever.

Really hard to argue against that team. I may have gone with the 01-02 team only because of the talent on the team and they were favored to win the cup and absolutely dominated the entire league that season and postseason.
