I remember that season well, almost like it was yesterday. Those were awesome times to be a fan. I'd listen to every game I didn't watch (most weren't on tv) with Peter Mahr and color commentator Doug Barkley. Those broadcasts were darn near a drug for me back then.

Anyway, I'll always say, if it wasn't for Edmonton from 82 or 83 to about 90, we'd have been the dynasty of that decade everyone would remember today. We were that good. Like I said, amazing time to be a fan. Too bad we only got one cup, but I'm thankful nonetheless. Seeing Lanny score his patented wrister and then celebrate with the cup a little later was almost unbelievable.
