Didn't realize this was published a while ago anyway (if there was already a topic I missed it), but some interesting placements.

Messi goes #1, Mbappé at #3, Salah the highest rated PL player at #6, Oblak the highest rated keeper at #9 and van Dijk the highest rated defender at #19 (what?).

Interesting list. Didn’t read all of it but seems like there’s to many PL players to high. And definitely don’t agree with Oblak over De gea.

If it's a Top 100 of 2018 (as opposed to a simple Top 100 Players ranked), I'd say Oblak over De Gea is a pretty reasonable take, as would be Courtois and Ter Stegen over De Gea. 2018 was the worst calendar year De Gea has had in awhile.

Yea, he didn't have a great world cup and although he played well his numbers in the fall weren't great due to how brutal the team in front of him played.

I don’t know. His last league season was incredible. His World Cup wasn’t great and neither was his start to this season, but I definitely don’t think most of that was on him.

That's how FourFourTwo rolls generally, I don't think it's even meant to be entirely objective.

Another 2018 top 100 list with a somewhat more international panel, by the Guardian:

The 100 best male footballers in the world 2018

1. Luka Modric
2. Cristiano Ronaldo
3. Lionel Messi
4. Kylian Mbappé
5. Mohamed Salah
