Before the draft this team was supposed to be an 80 point team without any additions this year. What happened that dropped us back to the bottom of the barrel?

You just mentioned 5 rookies that were not with the team last year. Right there is part of your answer. Do you honestly think, playing your first year in the NHL you are going to put up big numbers and play almost mistake free hockey? This team should be a 80 point team this year and the vets like OEL, Doan and Hanzal have to take some of the blame with their play this year. Nothing to do with coaching. I still believe we will see a much better second half of the year with this team.

The Coyotes don't have the ammo to go and get a RHD that's a massive upgrade. Might not be enough money to sign one either in 2-3 years when guys are coming off their ELCs.

The team needs to play skill with skill up front. Even the best defense will look awful with zero offensive pressure.
