"Eric Cartman?"
Watching the Cup skated by ROR and also seeing Chris Thorburn, made me try to recall from memory former Sabres who won Stanley Cup after leaving Buffalo.
i.e., this is not meant to include players like Jim Lorentz or Fred Stanfield who both won with Boston before joining Buffalo, or Clark Gillies who won with the Isles, or Doug Gilmour who won with Calgary, etc..
I'm vague on the early 1970s before 1975, but here are the former Sabres I can recall:
Lee Fogolin - Edmonton 1984 & '85
Tom Barrass-hole - Pittsburch '91 & '92
Uwe Krupp - Colorado Avalanche 1996, Cup winning goal.
Benoit Hogue and Derek Plante - Dallas 1999
Hasek - Detroit 2002
Dave Andreychuk & Craig Ramsay (as a coach) - Tampa Bay 2004
Dan Paille - Boston 2011
Chad Ruhwedl - Pittsburgh 2017
Ryan O'Reilly - St. Louis 2019 (I think Thorburn was there as a Blues organizational courtesy.)
I'm probably missing a few ex-Sabres. Any help?
