Watching the Cup skated by ROR and also seeing Chris Thorburn, made me try to recall from memory former Sabres who won Stanley Cup after leaving Buffalo.

i.e., this is not meant to include players like Jim Lorentz or Fred Stanfield who both won with Boston before joining Buffalo, or Clark Gillies who won with the Isles, or Doug Gilmour who won with Calgary, etc..

I'm vague on the early 1970s before 1975, but here are the former Sabres I can recall:

Lee Fogolin - Edmonton 1984 & '85
Tom Barrass-hole - Pittsburch '91 & '92
Uwe Krupp - Colorado Avalanche 1996, Cup winning goal.
Benoit Hogue and Derek Plante - Dallas 1999
Hasek - Detroit 2002
Dave Andreychuk & Craig Ramsay (as a coach) - Tampa Bay 2004
Dan Paille - Boston 2011
Chad Ruhwedl - Pittsburgh 2017
Ryan O'Reilly - St. Louis 2019 (I think Thorburn was there as a Blues organizational courtesy.)

I'm probably missing a few ex-Sabres. Any help?

Brian Campbell I believe. He's always forgotten about when complaining about past management blunders, but they should have re-signed him.

Miroslav Satan won it with Pittsburgh in 2009. And yes Campbell with Chicago. Chris Butler was also on the Blues this year. Robin Regehr with the Kings in 2014. Richard Smehlik with the Devils in 2003

Norm Lacombe won it in 1988 with the Oilers.
Kevin Haller won it in 1992 with the Habs.
Jay Wells won it with the Rangers in 1993. Mike Hartman was on that team too, but didn't play in the playoffs.
Dave Hannan was on the Krupp Avs team in '96 to go along with the pre-Sabres Cup win with the '88 Oilers.
Mike Ramsey was momentarily on the '97 Wings team but didn't play in the playoffs so I don't think he's on the Cup (like Hartman).
AlMo was on the 2000 Devils team.
Krupp was on the Wings 2002 team that Dom won on, playing a couple of SC playoff games.
Smehlik won it with the 2003 Devils.

Chad Johnson was a Blue this year as was Jordan Nolan, ROR, Chris Butler, Thirburn and Ott.

So many Sabres it's like the St. Louis Sabres.

Johnson was in Anaheim to end the season and Butler and Thorburn didn't play in the playoffs.

Shane Hnidy was on the 2011 Bruins but never played for the Sabres. He was a Buffalo draft pick and I remember him from a number of 1990's era prospect tournaments where the fur flew.

Hasek - Detroit 2002
Hasek was also on Detroit's 2008 Cup team, although Osgood played most of the games in the playoffs that year.

Danny Gare was on the 1986-87 Oilers, but he was cut midway through the season so he didn't get his name on the Cup.
