Maybe I'm just overly skeptical, but didn't he have a very similar offseason where he was serious in the off season and came back to camp in great shape/noticeably faster? Good on him if he can keep it up.

Yeah he did and he put up a 40 point pace that year playing minimal minutes. Even last season which was the year that everyone soured on him he was scoring at the rate of a good third liner. If he is able to keep on top of things conditioning wise he’s going to be a good player for Boston.

That's vintage Perry. He can definitely still score points when he's put in advantageous positions, the problem is always the risk-cost benefit with him. He's always been super smart, and that play displays that.
