Maybe I'm just overly skeptical, but didn't he have a very similar offseason where he was serious in the off season and came back to camp in great shape/noticeably faster? Good on him if he can keep it up.

Yeah he did and he put up a 40 point pace that year playing minimal minutes. Even last season which was the year that everyone soured on him he was scoring at the rate of a good third liner. If he is able to keep on top of things conditioning wise he’s going to be a good player for Boston.

So Cogliano and Powerplayliano both score their first goal of the season on the same night. What are the odds?

Ritchie with yet another PP goal for the Bruins. Interestingly enough they were using a 5 forward PP unit when he scored.

No, perhaps he is just being utilized properly now. I don't recall him getting much PP time as a Duck. And it wasn't because our PP is better than Boston's.
We dont even have forwards who can score.

Good to see him hit 800. Hoping he can play long enough to get 400 goals too.

Everyone we got rid of got a resurgence. Its obviously the team and not the players.

BUT BUT BUT we should keep our guys and keep the patch jobs.

What's wild to me about that Sprong goal is Michael Sgarbossa was on the ice with him. Had no idea he was still kicking around the league.

Ritchie is 8p in 9 games. To go with that he is playing 17-18 minutes a night, he is getting more responsibility there. Looks like he is coming together. I sure hope he is, sad that it didn't happen in Anaheim.

On their first PP. Hardly ever saw any PP time here.

It’s almost as if it’s easier to produce on a team with adequate offensive talent around you when you’re a complimentary piece

What a novel concept
