Easily McDavid.

Put Mack on Oilers, and McD on Avs -- then look at the totals. Would be a blowout.

You take the better player.

Didn’t Mcdavid score like 105 points this year on that exact team?

Perhaps regular season and playoffs are just different. You can’t use the “team” argument for individual point totals when Mcdavid does what he does during the regular season. This isn’t a Colorado vs Edmonton debate. This is a guy who elevates his game in playoffs vs a guy who goes the other direction debate.

Put MacKinnon on the Oilers, and the Oilers don't get swept. Three of those games were one goal games that went to overtime. The extra oomph that MacKinnon provides in the playoffs would have easily been enough for the Oilers to be up 3-1 after 4 games.

People can complain about McDavid's lack of supporting cast all they want. The reality is McDavid and his agent has put him in a position where this is gonna be a problem his entire career, or at the very least his entire prime. With his $12.5 mil cap hit, no organisation is gonna stay competitive for long even if he demands a trade from Edmonton. The window might open a couple of times if he's lucky enough to be in the perfect situation, with some really good players on entry level contracts providing depth, but for most (or maybe even his whole career), McDavid isn't going to be playing for a top contender. He's gonna have to continue trying to carry his teams on his back, and rightfully so, because he's getting paid to do it.
