As I have the last few years, with the season not so far away I figured I would once again make a list of achievable milestones for Flyers players to reach this season. The first figure is the milestone and the bracketed figure is how many the individuals current have in that category.

Goals:

Voracek: 200 (194)

Points:

Provorov: 100 (96)
Gostisbehere: 200 (187)

Games played:

Gostisbehere: 300 (297)
MacDonald: 600 (586)

Miscellaneous:

3 more goals will put Voracek 19th all-time as a Flyer
20 more assists will put Voracek 8th all-time as a Flyer
8 more points will put Voracek 14th all-time as a Flyer

Here are the last three years threads for anyone interested:

Alex, if we can somehow unload Weise before the season begins, I hope you will come back and edit your post, removing his name so he is not the first one we see. I just threw up in my brain a little bit. Also, if anyone else passes Poulin in any statistical category, I hope you will conveniently ignore it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the Stats.

Funny but I would have bet the farm that Giroux would have had many more Games Played than both Simmonds and Jake... May have been because he was with the Flyers longer and/or he achieved his big Contract so much quicker ... as well as accumulating his Stats much faster... and also my off the cuff belief G is older.

With that though I suppose Jake and Simmer may have begun their NHL Careers at an earlier Age... although G was no slouch in that department either.

Bottom line is that I was mistaken, and thanks to this Thread I have learned I was. :thumbu:

I didn't know G was that close to 3rd overall for assists.

I know, right? Talking about a flyer legend and he’s only 30.

If G has a:

82gp: 25-55-80

season that will put him:

3rd all-time in GP: 820
10th all-time in goals: 239
2nd all-time in assists: 518
4th all-time in points: 757

For someone who started watching in the Leclair and Lindros era, it’s incredible to think a guy I have watched is whole career is climbing the charts like that.

I can’t see him catching Clarke but it’s possible. His remaining career should be surrounded with top players and success. Can only help.

To put Giroux vs Clarke into perspective:

If my numbers are correct...

Giroux has four years remaining on his current Contract... let's add on one more Season... bringing him to around 35 years old.

* If he plays every single Game over that span he will pass Clarke by 4 Games Played.

* If he averages 77.8 Assists over that span he will catch Clarke in Assists.

* If he averages 106.6 Points over that span he will catch Clarke in Points.

* If he were to average 28.8 Goals over that span he would catch Clarke in Goals for 4th Flyers all-time but would need to average 55.2 Goals over that span to catch Barber for Flyers Leader.

Tough climb no matter how we look at it... however, the longer Giroux plays at a high level, the better Giroux's Legacy will be... An Extended Contract would go a long way in that.

All that said, no matter how you look at it, G will end up with fantastic Stats when all is said and done.

Last night Claude Giroux played his 747th game as a Flyer, therefore passing Joe Watson (746) to go 5th all-time in games played for the franchise.

By my calculations, G would have to play through the Current Contract and one year of an Extended Contract and miss no more than 6 Games in that span to Tie Clarke.

Going by his past record... which shows him playing through almost all Injuries... I honestly can see him doing it. I can't imagine Flyers ever trading G, nor his hanging up his stakes at the age of 35... but one can never predict major injuries or concerns that preclude a Player from playing.

Quite a good career the Captain is having, right in front of our very eyes. :thumbu:
