Hiring Peter Chiarelli has to be on that list. Without him, no Chara or Savard. Or Claude Julien. Yes I know Chiarelli hired Dave Lewis first but he had the guts to admit he made a bad hire and got rid of him.

Total agreement.

Some love to knock Chiarelli for this or that.

The fact is, without Peter none of the great things that have happened since his arrival would have occured.

Chiarelli, with a lot of help I'm sure, returned the Bruins franchise to respectability, restored its DNA, and brought a winning culture to Boston.

His appearance on the scene deserves to be placed very high on this list.

No OT victory against Montreal in Game 7 in 2011?

To me that was HUGE, and it altered the course of the franchise for the last decade. They lose that game, there is no cup, Julien might get canned, Chiarelli may also exit early, they live with the stink of the 3-0 Philly choke another year.....etc. Not sure which from that list I would bump, but I'd make that Nathan Horton OT goal at least #10B
