There are certain teams I am so tired of hearing "This Year They'll Be Better". I have been hearing about Florida's "Great Young Talent" for years.
Reimer under contract for two more seasons at $3M+ per. "Yikes" is understating it.
yeah but over a decade of hype about great young talent.Four. Games.
Guddy is better defensively too. Not that it’s saying much.Think I rather see Guddy over him, ignoring contracts.
At least Guds won most of his fights.
Yeah on forward. Defense not so much. It's kind of odd. They have the cornerstone pieces to be, at the very least, a solid team.
Why is their October schedule so bad?
He never wins games on his own. When we need a big save he almost always lets the team down. Instead of a game turning save it ends up in our net. Any 50/50 play always goes against us. He’s supposed to be a 1B but he’s more of a solid backup2016-17 : 43 games, 0.920
2017-18: 44 games, 0.913
He's been pretty good for them on that contract. I don't really understand your angle here.
Scouting has been fine. Decision making with picking too many forwards in the draft and screwing up the expansion draft/keeping d players together is on TallonAn underrated issue on this board in regards to success is operational budgets. It really affects scouting.
I mean the breaks in between games. They don't play regularly until November 8th.This is not a bad schedule at all. Check out the Oilers if you want to see a bad October schedule.

It is hard for a team to get in rhythm early in the season when they don't play.
I'm well aware of the Oilers' schedule. They had a long break because they opened in Europe.Again check out the Oilers schedule lol.

Florida didn't leave their own state for the first twelve days of the season and only played three games.
The Oilers have nothing to do with this thread, or what I was asking. So Oilers' schedule is worse

Oh, well it seems that most teams have similar breaks in their schedule early.
Its 4 games, season is over i guess.
I caught OT last night, and if I remember correctly, he took the puck behind his own net, came to a complete stop, and then failed to escape a forechecker and ended up turning over the puck. I haven't seen a ton of the Panthers but it was a pretty ugly play for anyone to be making at the NHL level, especially in OT.
