The slow movingness of this storm is the scary part. Basically with no gas in the Triangle, we're kind of stuck here, we have a full tank, but where can you go since the roads are crazy. We thought about driving out, but we're at the top of a hill in Apex, our house has a new roof, windows and siding, we had already this year cut down almost all of the trees that could do damage. We shall see what happens, we're stocked up and will hope for the best while staying interior and hope the long distance to here from the coast slows it down.

Per WRAL, they are projecting 4-6" (4-8" in a 2nd model) of rain in Raleigh. On Thursday at 8 a.m., expect 5 to 10 mph winds. Those will increase to 15 mph winds at noon, 15 to 20 mph winds by 5 p.m. and 30 to 35 mph winds overnight. Winds will top out in the 40 to 45 mph range in Raleigh on Friday morning before weakening Saturday and Sunday.

If the current track holds, the Triangle should be spared the brunt of it. Although flooding, power loss, down trees, and potential tornadoes on the north side of the Hurricane are possibilities. The amount of rain some coastal areas are going to get is incredible.
