He's my #1 priority as well. I think hes the only guy who has to be a lock to be back next year.

He might have meant he scored in 1 single game. 2 goals vs Hamilton, outside of the Sarnia games is all he had that final 18.
Changed my post. It clearly states ONE goal.

among OAs, I agree. I think the team almost needs McCourt & Lalonde or Busby to have contending quality D, but all of Gretz, Deline, Harper, Dunbar, and Roy need to play now; some preferably in Flint.

Fake news again. Get your facts straight. It wasn’t ONE.
The numbers don’t lie - just people.
Oops. You got me. I had contacted my comrades in the local socialist movement who drudged up some Hollywood elite money and put me in contact with an ex-KGB Russian troll farm think tank. They said “If you can gain the trust of the bourgeois masses and make them believe Jake Durham had only scored ONE goal in 18 games as opposed to the (glorious product of the collective State) Alexander Mogilny like TWO goals he actually scored in 18 games then clearly you can show the brainwashed democracy loving herd that Jake Durham underperformed this year.” I mean TWO goals? People will confuse him with Alex DeBrincat but if I could make them believe he only scored one.....what a world of difference that would make. You’re right. Numbers don’t lie and 4 of your last 6 posts have been ridiculous N Da No, but keep screaming “FAKE NEWS” on an OHL message board. It makes you sound like you really got it together.

Deline and Harper will probably never be top 4 defensemen in the OHL, except for major injury issues. However, you do need 1 or 2 of those kind of players on your team. I agree that Gretz has not shown much of anything. I suspect we will get a decent defenseman in the 2nd or 3rd round.

N Da No says with what is currently going on in the world today......I'd say that it's time for some social distancing on this board. Stop acting RIDICULOUS.

Flint trades with Guelph. Flint now has no 2nd round pick this year, but gains another 4th this year. Plus Flint adds draft stock the following three years::

TO GUELPH TO FLINT
SOO’s 2nd in 2020GUE’s 4th in 2020
FLNT’s 3rd in 2022LDN’s 4th in 2021
GUE’s 3rd in 2022
HAM’s 2nd in 2023

Interesting that they are swapping for each other's 3rd rounder in the same year. I wonder which team thinks they're getting the better of that part of the deal, and if it will actually work out that way.

Ham 2nd-‘23 (from Ham to Flint for Maatinen?) (was traded by Ham to LDN), not sure what pick Flint actually received.
Would also like to know what OS 15th-‘22 for KPearson became. Would like to find out conditions on *picks held by NB & OSH too!

Seems odd giving up our high 2nd round pick. Rumours are after 30-35! The talent pool drops off substantially.

OHL website has Guelph’s 3rd in 2023 going back to Flint, not 2022. So they might technically be adding draft stock in 3 years but they’ll be subtracting it another.

Interesting move to trade the high 2nd this year. Must not be expecting many rookies to crack the lineup next year, loading up on picks as ammo for more moves next year.
Yeah, if they pick a player with that 2nd they can’t trade him this year but they can trade that pick. It kinda signals that they’re going to go for it again this year. Which I’m not sure I’m a fan of with only 6 tradeable 2nd round picks. Barclay better be able to work some magic. I also don’t think it’s great value either. That’s a REALLY high guaranteed 2nd round pick for.....maybe? a decent 2nd later and a pair of 4ths. Last year Kitchener flipped Barrie’s 3rd in 2019 for Niagara’s 4th in 2019 plus their 3rd in 2020 and their 3rd in 2024. So they got a 3rd and a 4th out of 3rd round pick and Flint just gains two 4ths out of one of the earliest 2020 2nd’s. It’s also supposed to be a fairly solid draft.

Wait to judge, it’s probably part 1 of 3 trades Burnett & Branch make. :) I like the trade for Flint, signifies they are ‘in’ rather than re-tooling.
Niagara does things a little differently than most. Maybe they have to pay because the family managed team is not exactly liked?

The draft supposedly deeper/solid for D in rounds 2-3 from what I’ve read. Flint already has to choose from 8, and outside chance Power makes 9.

Surprise, Surprise, I'm sorry but this is becoming the Guelph/Flint Stormbirds totally in the rules but I don't agree with it.

I agree way to early. There are going to be other moves before the season starts and we aren't N Da No :GWC: on everything happening behind the scenes. As mystifying as some of Branch's moves have appeared at first glance they mostly all kind of fell together as if he knew exactly what he was about so I am willing to just wait and see how it all come together.

Hope they stay healthy. Young people can and are dying from Covid-19. Not sure if they had to go back during the off season or if they chose to. I can understand wanting to be with their families given the current situation.
