Hardest Worker
Butler. For the bruises, and for still somehow making it through all 82 games.
Best Surprise
Finishing with one fewer win than Vancouver, finishing ahead of the Oilers, all tied with not finishing at/near dead last.
Worst Surprise
Probably Sven Baertschi. I was hoping he'd stick the full season this year, but I guess there's always next year.
Best Defenseman
Can anyone seriously say anyone but Giordano?
Best Forward
Nobody stands out as being worthy of this - that's what finishing 27th will do for you. So I'll say Monahan for being the highest goal scoring rookie for the Flames since Sergei Makarov, and for giving us hope for the future. Also for @boringmonahan, even though its probably not him.
HM to Big Ern, just because it seems like he's a good character / dressing room guy, if not the greatest player. Makes our young guys feel safer.
Best Trade
Berra for a 2nd was a bit of a jaw-dropper.
HM to the Smid trade.
Best Moment
The brou-ha-ha vs. the Canucks, and subsequent Torts meltdown.
Overall MVP
Can there be an MVP on a team that finished 27th? If so, Giordano.
Best Goal
Stajan's shootout goal, for the hearts.
Hardest Hit
Clearly Byron on Sedin.
Best Save
Berra's bicycle kick save.
