I've only been following the Flames for a few years (2002-2003 season) -- but then again I've also only been following hockey for a few years. I decided to follow the Flames because they were very a very defense-minded team and I've always enjoyed defensive struggles (0-0 ties were the best games ever).

Miikka kiprusoff. Hands down. He's such an amazing goaltender, I'm glad he is a Flame and not against us.

I'm loving Andrei Taratukhin. I think he has the potential to be a leader.

Then when I randomly heard about Kipper joining the Flames I got reminded of my good old hockey youth and ever since Ive been a hardcore Flames fan. Learned more and more about the team and Ill be a Flames fan for a long time (even if Kipper leaves)

I only started following the flames right before their Stanley cup run in 03/04. It was right at the beginning of the season when I really started to go for them. Not too sure what made me want to root for them, but I was glad I did when playoff time rolled around, and ever since then they've been my favorite team, and I've supported them 100%
Favourite Flame?
I'm gonna say Dion Phaneuf is my favorite Calgary Flame. Jarome Iginla, Mikka Kiprusoff, and Alex Tanguay are all close as well.
Favourite Flame Prospect?
Have to go with the Newfoundlanders on this one. Daniel Ryder and Adam Pardy. I just hope Daniel can get things going in his hockey career again, and hope Pardy gets a call from the big club in the near future to show what he's made of.

Flames fan history: Grew up watching and cheering and never looked back. It's been a tough go for a lot of the seasons that I can remember, but you gotta love you team no matter what.
Favorite Flame: All time would have to go with Gary Roberts. I was at that game where he scored a hat trick after coming back from a back injury, wow that was a cool night.
Favorite Prospect: I'm fairly concerned about the state of our development system. If we have to choose someone, I'll go with Pardy. He seems to be the most complete player at the moment.
