he sucks! but that goal should have never happened. the devils had ALL the momentum. Sloppy offensive decisions and blind refs allowed that goal to happen just as much as our average backup!

like bratts play was just as poor and lazy as kinkaids as i pointed out. he was also invisible all game. but he cant be criticized because hes 19 and the whole board just takes a massive shit on kinkaid.

oh believe me, you're preaching to the choir lol. plenty of blame to go around last night, but the people who screech "STATS STATS" like the 'mine' seagulls in finding nemo or have ALL-CAPS TEMPER TANTRUMS in GDT's like a 5 year old after a goal is allowed probably aren't beacons of objectivity or context.

None of Hischier, Bratt, or Butcher has ever played more than 57 games in a season at any level. So to go from that, to trying to play 82 against grown men - well, it's a big ask.

im not blaming him or dumbfounded about why his play has dropped but he has a major role on this team. he needs to be compared to how a first line winger should play. especially when this forum expects our backup goalie to act like an above average starter.

right now he is playing like a 3rd/4th liner and we are not scoring. that needs to be fixed. and if hes not contributing offensively he can not be looking as soft as he did last night. Nico is a -2 in his past 10 games. It's obvious teams are scoring at even strength when Bratt is on the ice. last night was a prime example of play that should not be tolerated. this team is in the playoff hunt, not rebuilding.

Bratt has definitely been less effective lately. We could still use another winger. Stafford stinks, Bratt is a teenager, and Palmieri is wildly inconsistent.

heaven help us if someone on the 1st line scores a goal…because if one of them does, they will try to set up their linemates for the rest of the game, forcing passes and making very unnecessary high risk plays. I can appreciate the sentiment behind it, but for god’s sake be selfish. I knew hall would pass it on that 2 on 1 as soon as he and bratt crossed the blue line.

Yeah, I feel like I saw that coming a mile a way there, too, saying "He's going to force this pass" in my mind. Sometimes you want to see them be selfish, just to keep the defenders on their toes. Use the option to sell the pass if you can, but I would have like to see Hall shoot there.

I have never been more angry at a goaltender after a loss in my life. Especially a day later, Kinkaid needs to be shot into the sun.

Turning point for me was his wonderful shootout performance against St. Louis.
