True, and Neal and management should be happy that they are being carried by bunch of other players (at least for now). Would be a lot more attention on this disaster of a signing otherwise, similar to Lucic in Edmonton.

It's still early but so far it looks like they did a good job retooling things overall and getting a good coach, agreed. One huge, expensive blunder mixed in there though.

Neal has been an effective player, he's just not scoring. Brouwer was a detriment to whoever he was on the ice with. Not even close to comparable.

Peter's shortened the bench last night and benched the 3rd line. But instead of Benching Neal, he moved him up to the 2nd line. It'll come.

Brouwer was bought so they could give Hanifin a long term deal instead of a bridge.
