2022 Cup to Calgary
Guys, please provide a hot take summary.

1st Period
Gio played like Oskar Klefbom
Andersson-Prout were bad
Hanifin-Hamonic weren't great
Forward lines not forechecking well
Ryan brutal giveaway; back of net
Gaudreau sick snipe, probably the hardest wrist shot he's ever scored on. Great drop pass by Monahan, for once it didn't get predictably picked off
Rittich not at his best. No softies but all goals probably "saveable".
Backlund brutal giveaway; back of net

2nd period
Rittich pulled
Brodie and Gio left to dry on a 3 v 2, cross ice, topshelf on smith
Bennett draws a penalty, Monahan PP faceoff -> Gio point shot -> Monahan tip goal
Peters Blender time
Hamonic on the left, finds Lindholm for a sick snipe wide open in the slot and it's a game again
Hanifin jumps into the secondary rush and Tkachuk / Janko set him up fora net front goal
Gaudreau on a partial break, Brodie taps in a netfront rebound
Hathaway with a brutal giveaway; back of the net

3rd period
Monahan PP goal, naturally future Fake-GWG
Gaudreau dances around in O-zone and walks in all alone, goes fivehole on 8obrovsky who is pulled
Atkinson gets a hatty, to get Mony his Fake-GWG
Backlund with a neutral zone trap type takeaway, finds Czarnik, Czarnik with a great power move to snipe a goal on Korpisalo
Team locks it down to ensure the Fake-GWG

Four goalies played
None had a SV% over .820
lol

Because OKG will never say it, Mony's second goal was a great top shelf snipe from the slot, in traffic. Not very many players have the ability to accurately elevate the puck like that under pressure.

You REALLY undersold this one. Tkachuk with an incredible no look, between the legs pass from behind the goal line, through 2 people right on Hanifin's stick in the paint for a tap in. Possible assist of the year. Just a BEAUTIFUL play.

Also, I already saw him say this "Fake Game Winning Goal"

Since he got the 7th goal, he assumed that the Jackets were going to score another. I mean they did, but too be fair, I think everyone watching this game knew we were going to let in another one.

But Monahan and Gaudreau each had 4 points, Tkachuk and Gio had 3 points, Hamonic and Lindholm each had 2 points.

Also, we are the first team this year to have 4 players hit 30+ points (Gaudreau 35, Monahan 33, Tkachuk 32, Lindholm 30) and Gio is just under at 27 points in 27 games (so we have 5 p/gp players).

James Neal - 0 goals & 0 assists tonight.

3 sog tonight. 71 for the season and tied for 5th place on the team (Monahan leads the team with 85).
4.2% shooting percentage. Career shooting % of 11.8%
When will it end?

Actually Gio has 27 pts in 28 games so he isn't quite a pt / game player.

Tortorella's really mellowed out over the years, I was left incredibly disappointed by his lack of intensity in his post-game presser.

Missed the game.... How was my mate Neal? Any few jumps, any good looks? Is he getting there?

Tkachuk tries that between the legs move to score or assist at least once a game
